Hey guys hope you are having a wonderful week. My week has been pretty good. Started off a bit rough with a migraine but has been great since it went away. We have had beautiful warm, sunny winter days so we are making the best of those as I believe next week is supposed to be nasty.
Today I wanted to share with you my favorate smoothie. It is delicious, simple and packed full of nutrients. If you are a chocolate lover you will love this. It reminds me of milk chocolate icecream…. Yum…Yum.
I crave chocolate a lot these days and well if your body is craving something it is usually for a reason. Craving chocolate is a sign of a magnesium deficiency, and magnesium deficiencies have been linked to migraines and well I get a lot of migraines. So, instead of indulging on something unhealthy, I try to indulge on dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds and well this chocolate smoothie. This chocolate smoothie is packed full of magnesium, zinc, potassium, iron, protein, fiber and many other essential minerals.
You should try it sometime. It is amazing. The kids will love it too.

- 1-2 cups coconut water
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- 2 tablespoons Cacao Powder
- Place all ingredients in a high power blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust amounts of ingredients based on how thick you like your smoothie, how many you are wanting to feed, or if it is a snack instead of a meal.
